Sarah McCoubrey, B.F.A., M.Ed., LL.B.

Sarah brings to OJEN over ten years of experience in various capacities with non-profit organizations working with youth and the education system. She has participated as a staff member, as a volunteer, and on the Board of Directors of non-profit community organizations where she developed or implemented programs for students, aboriginal groups and youth-at-risk. Since her call to the bar, Sarah has been practicing education law at a Toronto law firm focusing on the legal issues arising in the school setting.

Andrea joins OJEN with a strong educational background, having previously worked as a high school teacher and adult educator.  She has experience in program development, group facilitation and curriculum design, garnered from her previous work with youth and women's rights organizations.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from OISE/UT.

Ravi joins OJEN committed to justice education. He has demonstrated past public service in public education, legal aid, and health complaints adjudication. He has taught elementary and secondary students in Ottawa, Sudbury and Toronto in French and in English. He was Ontario Legal Aid Criminal Duty Counsel in Toronto, and he is a member of the Ontario Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. He has previously worked with OJEN as a school board representative committee member, teacher volunteer and curriculum writer in Ottawa, Sudbury and Toronto. He is also a program manager with l’association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario.


Jessica Reekie, B.A., LL.B.

Jessica brings to OJEN her experience working with newcomers in addition to her previous employment and volunteer activities in the non-profit sector for the past 10 years. A graduate of Harvard University and Dalhousie Law School, Jessica clerked at the Federal Court in Ottawa before practicing immigration and refugee law at a Toronto law firm. She has worked with youth in after-school programs in Boston and Beirut, taught ESL classes in Istanbul and coordinated a student-run pro-bono immigration clinic in Halifax.


Enisoné L. Kadiri, B.A.

A McGill University graduate, Enisoné brings to OJEN a background in social justice advocacy, community based research and community development. She has experience collaborating on projects at the local, national and international levels. Enisoné has worked with marginalized youth, and has experience in program management, development, and evaluation garnered from her work with equity-seeking groups and women's rights organizations.

Stephanie brings to OJEN her experience working with marginalized youth in educational and mentoring capacities and her experience in program development, management, and implementation, garnered from previous justice education programs for youth. Stephanie graduated with a law degree from the University of Toronto.


Mara Clarke, B.A. (Honours), LL.B.

Mara joins OJEN with a background in corporate law and experience working with marginalized youth in mentoring capacities. A former executive member of the Black Law Students Association of Canada, Mara has experience in youth outreach, program management and justice programming for equity -seeking groups. Prior to attending Osgoode Hall Law School, Mara graduated magna cum laude from York University. Mara interned with the Corporate Counsel at Grace Kennedy Limited in Kingston, Jamaica. Prior to joining OJEN, Mara summered and articled with a full service law firm in Toronto.


Claudia Belda, H.B.A., LL.B.

A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Claudia Belda brings to OJEN a background in Public Legal Education. Working primarily with Aboriginal people, her previous employment experience has allowed her to explore her interests in access to justice issues and ProBono work, as well as allowed her to travel throughout Northern Ontario, including to remote communities on the Hudson’s Bay coast. Claudia has participated and managed several interesting , innovative and interactive projects related to access to justice issues, Indian Residentia l Schools, and other initiatives that have resulted in the development of legal education materials for Aboriginal people.

Nadine comes to OJEN with a strong background in not-for-profit administration having more than a decade of experience as a performing arts fundraiser, publicist and general manager. Other experience includes working as a litigation secretary for a criminal law firm and a research assistant for the Office of Child and Family Services Advocacy.


Maureen Ra, B.A., B.Ed.

Maureen comes to OJEN with six years of classroom teaching and two years of coaching experience, as well as experience in overseas volunteer aid work, primarily with orphanages in East Asia, South East Asia, and East Africa. During her teaching career, Maureen successfully created and led fundraising projects to raise awareness about issues of poverty and empower students to become active problem solvers. Prior to joining OJEN, Maureen held various administrative positions with corporate insurance and investment firms, including the marketing of fundraising projects with partner charitable organizations.
