PLEAC
The Ontario Justice Education Network is a member of the Public Legal Education Association of Canada (PLEAC), the national association for public legal education in Canada. Sarah McCoubrey, OJEN’s Executive Director, is a member of the PLEAC Board of Directors, and involved with PLEAC's national law-related education committee.
Founded in 1987, PLEAC is a non-profit organization with the following goals:
- To support communication and cooperation between individuals and groups interested in public legal education;
- To encourage the development of knowledge and skills in this field; and
- To act as a national voice and advocate on issues that concern PLEAC members.
PLEAC works to introduce providers and consumers of public legal education to colleagues across Canada, and share public legal education information and resources. PLEAC also holds an annual conference offering you a chance to join others in professional development activities.
